Dra. Claudia Campos

More than 30 years as a Clinical Psychologist, Sexologist and Couples Therapist working for your health and well-being.

About Me

I came to this country in the summer of 1997 and, contrary to many people, I did not come in search of the American dream, but for a personal life project; a new love. A wonderful man who crossed my path and with whom today, 20 years later, I continue to share dreams and life projects.

I am an immigrant woman, Colombian, Latina and proud of it. Mother of a son, Alex, who has been the light, the beacon of my journey, and who has given me the joy of knowing and feeling the purest and most intense love: that of a grandmother.

On a professional level, I completed my studies as a Clinical Psychologist at the Catholic University of Colombia. I completed a Master's in Sexual Education and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality and Gender at the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain. I have taken multiple courses that have complemented my professional practice as a Master in Reiki and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), among others.

I have been working for more than 30 years in the field of clinical psychology, emotional health, and in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health. When I arrived in the United States, I found a space for my expression and development, and that is how I discovered that the reason why life brought me here was not only a project of love... but also a professional and personal mission that has allowed me to lead and fight for the most important issues for women. This is how, from my platform, I address the problems of domestic violence, the right to a life without fear and without pain, and advocate for both men and women to live healthy and equitable relationships.

In this country, I have been fortunate to be a recognized leader in the Latin community in the Washington DC and Maryland areas, for my hard work in educating men and women and speaking openly and without filters about controversial and taboo topics such as love, heartbreak, violence, infidelity, eroticism and sexuality, all with the purpose of educating and helping human beings live healthier personal and family relationships.

Much of my work has been done with the help of many media outlets that have served as a tool to educate and help thousands of people who need a word and timely advice.

Since my professional beginnings in Colombia, I have been invited to various radio and television programs. And in the Washington DC metropolitan area, I have been recognized for being the first Latina to speak and educate openly and without taboos on the subject of Human Sexuality in different media outlets, especially on the radio, where I have participated with motivational and sexuality segments openly and without filters.
